The morning was occupied with packing Christmas presents off to the family. Early afternoon was occupied with DIY at daughter's house so workshop did not start until 15:00 hrs.
So what did I achieve in the afternoon / early evening.

The wheel support have to be machines
to a dead size AFTER welding and thus all the wheel supports made yesterday
are no good.
Here are the replacement ones.

So that the wheel support will be
held in place during the welding I have made up a 1/2" bar reduced by .2mm
at each end for clearance which is fitted with pieces that will be NUTTED
down from each end.
There remains to run a die down the bar and make up two nuts. The ends of the tube have been gently counted sunk to take off the burs from the machining. |
