The side foot rest fitting is ready
to be welded into place.
The Arrow is a magnetic welding aid. |

With all the welding done and the
foot rested welded into place it was ready to give the first coat of
paint.
On this truck the foot rests were added after the first coat of paint - an error as the welding should have been done first.

No much to show for a long day as the remaining riveting took all morning and the preparation for painting took a goods while but it was nice to see the first truck with the first coat of paint .. Must now make a list as to the last pieces of steel needed to make up the second set of bogies and foot rests ... |
