The first a most important aspect was a through look at the plans. Looking at the drawing of the "Timing Plate" I noted that there were three dimensions that were not readily apparent. An email was sent off to the supplier and their very quick reply was that "We are able to supply the plate cut on our water jet machine 8mm £12.55 6mm £9.89 p&p £2.55 This includes the holes". I have opted to them cut the plate in 6mm thickness, however when it arrived there were no holes cut.

There are many parts that are simple turning of mild steel, bronze or brass and they will be the parts tackled first.

So the next task is to make a shopping list of materials to purchase ASAP and try to rationalize sizes so that lease amount of different stock needs to be purchased..
