Very little alteration has been made to the track but regular maintenance has been carried out including soldering some of the joint to ensure and electrical connection.

The winter of 2010 into 2011 was very long and certainly damaged the track electrical connections.

In late April major work had to be carried out on the electrical connection between the sections of track and only after about 20 connections had been soldered together did a first circuit of track become possible by and electric power train.

In August all the work that had been done to make the electrical connection work for Easter was to no avail as the corrosion to the tracks prevented good electrical contact to the loco pickups.

A decision was made that the track will now be live steam only !!!
