Day 14 -- A fullish day in the workshop

The support for the regulator arm. this may need to be further improved / altered in the light of what is found out after the boiler steam test and initially running of the loco.

The chimney , smoke box, and smoke box support has been painted with heat resistant paint- the boiler band was pulled back so has to be repositioned when paint is dry in 24 hours!!

The Smoke box door has also been painted with heat resistant paint.

After lunch the replacement rear poles were cut machined at each end to have a flat to drill into and fitted with 6BA bolts and then painted black. Why do jobs always take much longer than expected - still they are done now.

The front and rear buffer beams were given another coat of paint.

With an evening off from engineering the paint will have a good time to dry
