Day 12 -- An evening in the workshop

This does not look a very important piece bit it is and has never been in place before.

It is locking the boiler to the frames but still allowing expansion ...

These pieces were cut to size then drill to take two 2BA bolts then counter sunk on pie piece and opened up on the other.

The 2 BA bolts were silver soldered into place and then the other piece bolted on and lock nutted.

The regulator needed a new spring. The one shown was wound too short so another was wound.

Whether it works will not be found out until the steam test is completed.

Modification to the rear of the cab to make it more plausible for a driver to be able to pass though the opening !!!

A vertical piece of 1/4" bar will be use to complete the cab.

The day ended at 22:30...
